Product Typification

Flexible, cement-based sealing for waterproofing stone surfaces on balconies, in swimming pools and on terraces over which tiles are applied. Suitable for indoors, outdoors, walls and floors.
Basis : A water-mixed cement powder containing very high amounts of synthetic binders.
Colour : Grey.

Product advantages:
  • 1-component
  • Watertight
  • Very elastic
  • Frost-resistant
  • Bridges cracks
  • Suitable for wall and floor
  • For in- and outdoor use

Performances

Classification : Highest class in accordance with NEN-EN 14891 CMO2P
Classification : High-grade cement- bound applied in liquid form with watertight membrane for use underneath ceramic tiles with crack spanning quality at low temperatures (-20 °C) and chlorine water resistant. Tested by KIWA Bautest in Dresden, Germany.
Consumption :

Approx. 1.5 kg/m² per applied 2 mm layer (see instructions).

Flammability : Non-flammable.
Humidity resistance : Moisture-resistant after drying and as such very suited for application in "wet rooms", outdoors and underwater (swimming pools).
Passableness : Approx 5 hours at 18 - 20 °C.*

Application

  • For the watertight finishing of stony subfloor on balconies and terraces, on which tiles have to be fixed.
  • For the protection of concrete reinforcement in swimming pools against moisture penetration; also reduces calcium precipitation, for instance.
  • For sealing stony walls against moisture penetration e.g. in case of heavy used shower rooms.
  • As a separation layer on critical surfaces, such as wood and existing tiles.
  • For gradual drying of freshly poured sand/cement covering floors and to protect them from penetrating moisture.

Working Process

Tools : Adhesive spreader, fur paint roller, brush (e.g. wall/floor joint) and flat trowel.
Mixing ratio : Add 20 kg 730 Isoflex to 4.5 - 5 litres of water.
Waiting time : Waiting time between two layers is 4-5 hours.
Application temperature : >5 °C.
Processing time : Within 60 minutes after mixing.*
Storage : Store cool and dry in unopened packaging.
Shelf Life : 12 Months, in unopened packaging. After use close the open packaging well.
Drying : 1st layer approx. 4-5 hours and 2nd layer at least 12 hours *
Moisture resistance : Moisture-resistant after drying and as such very suited for application in "wet rooms", outdoors and underwater (swimming pools).

* The mentioned values have been established in our laboratory and must be considered as guidelines in view of possible variations in climatic circumstances, subfloor compositions and layer thickness.

Consumption:

Approx. 1.5 kg/m² per applied 2 mm layer (see instructions).

Substrate:
  • 730 Isoflex is suitable for stony subfloors that are rigid and have a good tensile and compression strength. The subfloor should also be clean, dry and free from grease and dirt.
  • Apply 099 Dispersion Primer on stony subfloors e.g. sand/cement screeds. Minimum drying time 1-2 hours.
  • Pre-fill holes and deep cracks with 923 Europlan Extreme.
  • In advance always seek our technical data sheets. In doubt about the application ask for technical advice.

User manual:
  • Add 20 kg of 730 Isoflex to 5-6 litres of cool and clean tap water and stir the mortar thoroughly for 4 minutes by using an electric stirrer (approx. 1.000 rpm), to a smooth and homogeneous mixture.
  • Apply the first layer with a 4x4 mm notched spreader on the subfloor. Smooth the strips with a lambswool roller until an impervious layer arises. The lambswool roller should be light humid.
  • After a sufficient drying time (4-5 hours depending on the climatological circumstances) apply the second layer, according to the first layer (minimum drying time second layer is 12 hours).
  • Under no circumstances apply more than 2 mm per layer.
  • The 2 layers of 730 Isoflex need to total at least 2.5 to 3 mm when dry.
  • Protect the complete surface from applying the 730 Isoflex to setting the final layer against negative weather influences, such as moisture penetration, frost, etc.
  • Preferably glue ceramic tiles with our 733 Superior S2 or 705 Special Adhesive.
  • Before tiling make the surface dust free.
