Product Typification



Basis : Acrylate Copolymer.
Colour : Milky white.

Product advantages:
  • Ready-to-use, odourless roller primer for parquet.
  • Before using Eurocol parquet varnishes with blocking effect against wood ingredients that can lead to varnish adhesion problems and discolouration.
  • Especially suitable for smoked oak, corc and common exotic woods. Ideal for their new installation.
  • Also for use as a primer in parquet renovations of all types of wood.
  • GISCODE W2+, NMP-free
  • Emission-tested building product according to DIBt principles.

Consumption : ca. 90 ml/m² per coat.
Curing : Approx. 6 hours.

Application

Primer to be applied before the application of Eurocol parquet varnishes.

Working Process

Tools : Microfibre roller.
Waiting time : Application with roller appr. 2-3 hours.
Curing : Approx. 6 hours.
Storage : Store cool and dry in unopened packaging.
Shelf Life : Approx 12 months, in unopened packaging. After use close the open packaging well.
Drying : Approx. 2 - 4 hours between two applications, 6 hours until recoating, depending on the room climate.
Cleaner : Water.
Frost-proof : No.
Remarks : 

* The mentioned values have been established in our laboratory and must be considered as guidelines in view of possible variations in climatic circumstances, subfloor compositions and layer thickness.

ca. 90 ml/m² per coat.

Substrate:
  • The surfaces to be sealed must be clean and free of residues of oil, wax, silicone and other adhesion-reducing layers.
  • Joints are closed with suitable Eurocol joint sealant.
  • The fine sanding depends on the type of wood. The surface and edge sanding must be levelled with a sanding grid.
  • In case of defects, reservations must be made in writing.


User manual:

Before use, temper the product according to the processing conditions.

  • Shake well before use!
  • Preferably decant the varnish into a Eurocol sealing bucket and use a scraper grid when applying.
  • The application has to be done with a clean Eurocol Aqua microfibre roller 25 cm.
  • Smoked oak, steamed beech, merbau, wenge, acacia and other highly absorbent wood species should be rolled twice.
  • During application on the prepared parquet floor, use shoe covers for the shoes to avoid footprints.
  • After complete drying, seal with Eurocol water-based varnishes.

During the drying process, ensure even ventilation. Avoid draughts and direct sunlight.

Working conditions:
Required surrounding temperature: min. 18°C.
Material and subfloor temperature: min. 15°C.
Relative humidity: 35 - 75%, recommended <65%.

Safety and environment : Safety data sheets of Forbo Eurocol products according to EEG-guideline 91/155. Keep out of reach of children. Do not eat, drink or smoke while processing the product. Only give completely empty containers for recycling. Material residues can be disposed of as household waste.

Substances causing allergy : Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, reaction mass of: 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one [EC no. 247-500-7] and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one [EC no. 220-239-6] (3:1). May produce an allergic reaction.
