Forbo Tessera carpet tiles are manufactured using polyamide (nylon) fibres for durability and appearance retention in the busiest commercial environments. Following the Forbo Floorcare guidelines will ensure that the appearance retention of the carpet tiles is retained.

Loop pile construction

Carpet tiles with a standard loop pile construction are designed to maintain their good looks in the most demanding heavy traffic areas of buildings such as and reception areas. Textured loop pile tiles offer distinctive in-built texture and contemporary styling coupled with a robust and durable construction.

100% transparency in the EPD

To prove the eco-friendliness of our carpet tile products, Forbo uses several assessments. The first is the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) technique resulting in an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). This declaration, which is transparent and third-party verified, is based on a technique to assess environmental impacts associated with all the stages of a product's life from raw material extraction through materials processing, manufacture, distribution, use, repair and maintenance, to ultimate disposal or recycling.

This technique takes all the following aspects into account: environmental impact of raw material acquisition, energy use and efficiency, content of materials and chemical substances, emissions to air, soil and water and waste generation.

GUT Label
Forbo Flooring carpet tiles have received the GUT label. This means all Tessera ranges have passed the latest and severe testing on chemicals and emissions to ensure consumers safety.

About Tessera Cloudscape

The Cloudscape carpet tile collection has the following attributes;

• ‘all-over’ organic patterning based on cloud formations allowing re-connection to
  nature and the outside world
• 16 naturally inspired tonal colours ranging from very dark to very pale, covering a
  wide range of LRV requirements
• allows the creation of light, fresh, airy and relaxed working spaces in any
  commercial office
• 665 gsm pile weight for texture and underfoot comfort
• 100% solution dyed polyamide 6 for class 33 durability and colour fastness
• 50x50cm tile format goes particularly well with Tessera Layout tiles or planks
  where block colour can also be part of the floor design
• easily combined with Allura Flex vinyl tiles using the same adhesive, without
  the need for transition strips, additional profiles, or inconvenient build-up of
  the subfloor
• 58% recycled content by weight
• high acoustic value of 26dB for minimal noise transmission
