The renovation had been planned for a long time, and in June 2020 the time had come: With a new store fitting concept, the Edeka Markt Reske in Berlin was to be renovated within five weeks. Only a new floor was not planned, because the owner Hans-Joachim Reske was satisfied with the existing floor. But during the renovation it became apparent that the soapstone tiles did not harmonize with the modern store design. So the floor also needed a new look. But was this possible in a short time? With the right product: on friday the Forbo design flooring Allura Puzzle in the color Iron Cement was ordered, delivered on monday - and on wednesday the 900 square meter area was no longer recognizable. Pure and simple, with an authentic look, the floor fitted into the ambience, "as if it had always been there," says Hans-Joachim Reske, who is completely happy with the result.
He could hardly have made a better decision, because the large-format Allura Puzzle tiles have unique product characteristics thanks to their dovetail joints, starting with dust-free, quick installation and ending with the uncomplicated replacement of individual elements in the event of damage. Like all Loose-Lay solutions from Forbo, the product is applied directly to the fixed substrate without the use of adhesive. When in use, the robust floorings, which have excellent dimensional stability, are highly durable and easy to clean. And even at the end of the use phase they are still a pleasure to use: the elements can be picked up effortlessly.
