Accessibility, a matter of safety
A staircase in general areas of a public building must be accessible safely by disabled people (visually impaired or blind). The safety of people must be ensured by measures or tools that help to identify obstacles or stairs.
THE DESIGN OF STAIRS MUST PROVIDE FOR:
• Non-slip stair nosing that visually contrasts with the rest of the staircase
• First and last steps with a visually contrasting indentification
• A floor covering or accessory that raises caution at the top of the stairs Sarlon complete step, with its step nose integrated into the structure and visually contrasting, is available in a palette of colors easy to coordinate with our Modul’up, Sarlon, Sarlon primeo and Eternal collections
