Axel Springer Verlag has moved into a massive office building in Berlin. The media landscape is changing and is being called upon to disseminate news on digital channels alongside the print press - quickly, vividly and as transparently as possible. The Dutch star architect Rem Koolhaas, together with his partner Chris van Duijn and project manager Katrin Betschinger, has developed a building that translates precisely these qualities into contemporary architecture and represents the strength of the media group.
There, the fir-green vinyl floor "Allura Flex" from FORBO Flooring covers an area of 6,540 square meters. Katrin Betschinger, the architect responsible at OMA, talks about the major project, which was completed in just four years.
