The Cultural Centre in Stopiņi houses all public functions of the city centre. It includes two multi-purpose auditoriums, a library, a registration office, a museum and a conference hall. On the first floor, there is space for the Stopiņi District Council and two dance studios. Various events are held in the smaller hall, and the two auditoriums have excellent acoustic properties for public performances. A part of the building is oval in shape. It is designed to achieve almost zero energy consumption, thanks in part to the double roof made of natural slate.
Flotex Metro tiles were installed in the lobby, open areas, library and reading rooms. Elsewhere, such as in the administrative offices, conference rooms and corridors, Smaragd Lux vinyl flooring was used. The floors of the larger concert hall are covered with Marmoleum in a brown tone that is tonally compatible with the wood floor of the main auditorium area. Since a good entrance system is important in any public building, a combination of Forbo Coral and Nuway mats was chosen for inside and outside the main entrance.
