The Fuchshof Primary School, with its innovative timber construction, is the first building to be constructed in the new Fuchshof development area in Ludwigsburg. Throughout the planning phase, the focus was on the use of environmentally
friendly and sustainable building materials. All materials used in the Fuchshof School are selected according to the cradle-to-cradle principle. This means that they can be reused or recycled after use. The architectural office, Von M Stuttgart, consequently opted for Marmoleum Cocoa flooring from the Marmoleum Solid collection. Marmoleum Cocoa by Forbo Flooring is produced in a climate positive way and contains 43% recycled material. A large part of the recycled material consists of pre- and post-consumer waste. The Fuchshof School received the Sustainable Building certificate.
The school accommodates more than 600 pupils. On the three floors there are spacious, light-flooded learning and teaching rooms alternating with recreation and leisure areas - there is even a therapy area. In the spacious, multifunctional cafeteria on the ground floor, pupils receive a warm lunch. A spacious playground is also part of the school building. It is divided into a quiet, natural area and an area for moving, romping and playing.
