Istanbul Airport

Istanbul Airport Terminal I itself covers 1,3M sqm and will serve 200M passengers every year. Once finalised all 4 phases, Istanbul Airport will be the World’s largest aviation terminal. The flooring of the airport has over 200.000 sqm and was covered with Forbo Flooring Systems’ sustainable and functional selections.

35,000 sqm of Terminal I, includes lounges, offices, bridges, playgrounds, logistics areas or duty free zones were covered with high quality linoleum, homogeneous and heterogeneous vinyl collections of Forbo Flooring Systems, including Marmoleum Real, Sarlon 15 dB and Sphera Element collections. In addition to this, customized Tessera Alignment carpet tiles were used in 61.000 sqm of the terminal, including the gate and office areas. Of these, 61.000 sqm of carpet tiles and planks were installed in four different color combinations. Together with Tessera Alignment, the 50.000 sqm FLB bridges were covered with Flotex Metro rolls.
