Kleinwalsertal (KWT) Lodge

Between the glorious mountains of Austria and Germany lies the beautifully renovated KWT Lodge of the dutch couple - Sanne and Boaz in the middle of the idyllic mountain village of Baad.

With a sense of style, design agency Thoben and Minten has created a beautiful and timeless interior. The lodge consists of two parts: in the old part apartments and meeting rooms and in the new part 10 hotel rooms. The materials used fit the couple, sleek, tough and warm. During the renovation, the original wooden walls emerged, giving the rooms their own robust character. The general area with central kitchen where guests can cook for themselves is completely in black. This sends your gaze immediately to the beautiful white view outside.

On the floor Thoben and Minten directly recommended Marmoleum. 'The product has been on the market for years. It has proven itself, consists for almost 100% of natural materials, is a durable product, feels warm and can be justified to the guests who enjoy their summer and winter holiday here every day'.

For practical reasons, Marmoleum Click was chosen. 'It's so tight in there that guests are surprised that it's not a cast floor. The grey colour, Nebula was chosen because Sanne and Boaz had a casting floor in mind. We were able to convince them of the advantages of Marmoleum. And they haven't regretted it for a moment. They are very happy with it: in addition to being an aesthetic eye-catcher, it is easy to maintain and durable", says Nelleke Minten.
