Arkitema Architects is behind the recent extension of Københavns Universitet Amager, Søndre Campus. Juridisk Videncenter is one of the centers of rotation in the 48,000 m² big university building. The center contains 3 floors around a spacious atrium with service and facilities for students, university instructors and scientists.
The furniture is designed for intensive and flexible use and articulates the identity of the university in function, expression and material. A range of mobile room furniture constitutes a characterful frame around the studies, guidance and informal meetings. The furniture is also a link between the building and loose fixtures.
“Desktop is a super suitable material for knowledge environments like Juridisk Videncenter – it meets the expectations we have as regards durability, sustainability and aesthetics – in full and in detail”: Anne Kathrine Bisgaard, Architect MAA, creative manager Arkitema Architects.
