The former locomotive shed near Marburg's train station was in danger of decay for a long time until it was revitalized in favor of mixed use. After renovation and expansion, the listed brick building now has space for events, co-working and gastronomy, and a new hotel building is also attached. The almost semi-circular complex is structured around the preserved turntable, where trains used to shunt to enter the halls. The turntable will remain rotatable after the revitalization and can therefore be used flexibly, for example as a stage. The radiant track system remains visible in the outdoor space and is enhanced by greenery and by movable seating elements on the rails.

Inside, the event tract offers various possibilities for performance. In addition, it can be opened to the outside and can serve as an extension to the catering area. The open communication and work area is designed for several start-ups. There, the textile flooring Flotex from Forbo Flooring in the Twilight antique/amber variant with its color accents forms a dynamic spatial image. Delicate threads stand out in yellow and gray and combine to form a pattern, creating an elegant zoning in the co-working area. Thus, the flooring as a new element forms a deliberate contrast to the old shell, the development of the locomotive shed remains legible and invites creative use with industrial charm.
