Nazareth House Care home is designed to be non-institutional in nature where the focus is on the promotion of emotional wellbeing, while careful consideration of the households encourages social interaction between the residents and the staff.
Strong connections are made between internal patient spaces and the external landscape without compromising patient privacy. The new building has been designed as a simple geometrically rectangular plan, linked to a one storey Dementia household with purpose designed courtyard with wander loop.
Forbo flooring products were used throughout the building including Nuway matting systems in the main entrance. The mix of Forbo products we used was important in helping to create a “non institutional” building for our client to help promote emotional wellbeing with our residents and staff. Marmoleum, Step, Allura & Modul uP were used because of the extensive colour palette available and because of the proven performance of Forbo products in similar projects over many years.
