Vancouver fire hall and YWCA Pacific Spirit Terrace is a co-location civic building which is one of the first of its kind in Western Canada. It combines affordable housing with a Protective Services Department under the same roof.. The project combines 31 housing units for women-led families sponsored by the YWCA with the replacement of an ageing fire station for the Vancouver Fire & Rescue Service.
The use of Forbo flooring products like Allura luxury vinyl tiles and Flotex flocked flooring throughout the building was an easy choice for the design team, who wanted products that embody the overall project spirit of user comfort, quality, innovation and sustainability.
