Basis Pro Phase offers 100 cm x 25 cm carpet planks in a contemporary transition stripe design. Available in 6 neutral tones with 6 complementing colour highlights, Basis pro Phase shares yarn colours from Tessera Basis Pro tiles, enabling Basis Pro Phase to also transition into Basis Pro tile, opening up numerous flooring design options.

Minimising environmental impact

We embrace the challenge of sustainability by continually improving our carpet ranges and production processes to minimise environmental impact.

Our sustainability improvements for all Tessera collections include:
• Increasing recycled content
By challenging the way tufted carpet tiles are made, all Tessera carpet tiles contain at least 60% recycled content. For some ranges, this percentage is even higher due to the use of yarn regenerated from recycled material.
• Only using renewable energy
The energy used to produce Tessera carpet tiles is from 100% renewable sources such as wind and biogas, ensuring zero carbon impact during the manufacturing process.
• Helping to reduce waste
Typical broadloom flooring solutions will produce around 8% installation waste. Modular flooring, like our Tessera ranges, will reduce this by around 50%, to 4%. Our random lay ranges reduce waste further again to 2% - reducing waste, reducing impacts & costs.
• Lower embodied carbon emissions
Our steps to reduce environmental impact ultimately help reduce the level of embodied carbon included in all of our products and we are continually looking for areas where improvements can be made without compromising product quality and durability, or resorting to carbon offsets.

Transition stripe design

With changing working environments comes the need to adapt. Tessera Basis Pro Phase planks, with their link to Basis Pro tiles, bring both versatility and creativity through the tonal and transitional design.

Basis Pro Phase planks offer a myriad of design possibilities with their contemporary transition stripe design and the 6 neutral and 6 highlight options. Tessera Basis Pro Phase shares the same base construction and yarn colours with Tessera Basis Pro tiles, allowing the two ranges to be seamlessly combined to easily create versatile and flexible workspaces.

Used on their own, the 100x25 cm low level loop pile carpet planks can be laid half drop, herringbone or double herringbone. The graduating colour design across the width of the plank gives options for colours to fade in and out, going from light to dark and back again, or to simply randomise the planks to create interesting fading and non-fading combinations.

Each Basis Pro Phase plank also comes with a highlight colour option, offering the flexibility to incorporate subtle linear colour accents within the scheme. The collection is also designed to be combined with Basis Pro 50x50 cm tiles, allowing Basis Pro colours to transition from one to the other with the help of a matching Phase plank.

With 62% recycled content by weight, the Tessera Basis Pro Phase collection offers a sustainable flooring solution. The Tessera carpet tile production process aims to avoid any unnecessary waste and minimise energy and raw material use. All tufted Tessera carpet tiles are manufactured in an ISO 14001 certified plant using 100% renewable energy and biogas.

Forbo Tessera carpet tiles are manufactured using polyamide (nylon) fibres for durability and appearance retention in the busiest commercial environments. A well designed entrance flooring system will prevent dirt and moisture from being tracked into the building, prolonging the life of the carpet tiles, reducing cleaning, repair and overall maintenance costs. Forbo Coral and Nuway entrance systems are independently proven to remove and retain up to 95% of all dirt and moisture entering a building.

Following the Forbo Floorcare guidelines will ensure that the appearance retention of the carpet tiles is retained.
