City Centre Community Centre is a vibrant new two-story facility located within a mixed-use development at Firbridge Way and Minoru Boulevard in Richmond, BC. The community centre offers residents a variety of modern multi-purpose spaces for a range of community recreation programs and services, tailored to residents of all ages.
The community centre was seen as an ideal place to showcase public art and the City’s commitment to sustainability. For that reason, Forbo was chosen because of its sustainable manufacturing practices and in particular the rapidly renewable linoleum product. It is also a material that can be easily cut to create the artwork that was integrated directly into the flooring of the upper lobby.
