Kompas Hotel in Aalborg went to great lengths when the hotel once again had to renovate the wall-to-wall carpets in the restaurant, lounge and room wing. - We subjected the candidates to the toughest tests by applying food waste from the breakfast buffet, letting the stains dry for 48 hours, after which we carried out traditional cleaning with soap and water, explains director Bo Kikkenborg, KOMPAS Hotel.
In the test, a Flotex coating came out with the top score; but what convinced Kompas Hotel and Bo Kikkenborg were the acoustic properties: - We have 111 rooms; This means that up to 250 guests will have to have breakfast ; This requires both a robust coating against spills and dirt and a flooring solution that dampens the noise that naturally occurs when many people are gathered, explains Bo Kikkenborg.
We chose Flotex because of the ease of cleaning, the soft acoustics and the feeling of well-being when walking on the floor. Add to that the fact that the Flotex lifespan is impressively long - and we actually got all our wishes fulfilled, concludes Bo Kikkenborg.
