The police department at 7 Aspazijas Boulevard is an impressive
heritage building amid the historic architecture of Riga. Built in 1899-1891, it has kept the same function despite the long series of wars and political fluctuations, as well as an exhaustive renovation in 2020.
For reconstruction and overhaul of the old building, a catalogue of distinct features such as windows, doors, stucco ornaments, wall paintings and ovens was drawn up. It pays tribute to a succession of interior modifications, providing insight into changing styles and techniques over the years.
Forbo Flooring products chosen for the renovated building include Marmoleum Solid and Linear coverings for passages, halls and some offices. The natural materials and patterns complement the historic ambiance of the interior. Tessera carpet tiles were selected for optimum acoustics in the largest offices. The multi-functional hall has wood textured Luxury Vinyl Tiles from the Allura Wood collection.
