The municipality of Hülben has invested in a new children's home: The Gottlob Lang Kindergarten has been built on a 4900 square meter site. With eight group rooms, the nursery is the largest in the district. The new two-storey building consists of two interconnected buildings. The group rooms are located in the left-hand section, while the right-hand section houses all the other rooms required, such as the canteen, an exercise room, a dormitory for the children, social rooms for the staff and rooms for the building services.
"WE CREATE AN ATMOSPHERE OF SECURITY FOR THE CHILDREN SO THAT THEY CAN GROW AND DEVELOP."
The Gottlob Lang Kindergarten has been certified as a child and family center since 2020. This means that the facility aims to provide all children and their families with encounters, care, education and advice and offers a wide range of services beyond the kindergarten. A great deal of attention is paid to the compatibility of family and career, which is why special needs-based models are offered for families. A multi-professional team of 26 full-time and part-time employees currently works in eight groups.
In the nature kindergarten, which is located very far away, there is a lot of inspiration from nature, so that the children gain new experiences every day through play. In order to adapt the new building to the natural environment, the entire building was constructed to the latest standards as a level 55 efficiency house, equipped with an air-heat pump and a photovoltaic system. For the entire building, the ott_Architekten BDA team opted for natural materials such as wood or the climate-positive Marmoleum linoleum flooring from Forbo Flooring in a light green. The combination of robustness, ease of care, hygienic properties and environmental friendliness makes linoleum a suitable choice for flooring in nurseries.
