Situated in the vibrant coastal neighbourhood of Byron Bay, this former industrial building has been repurposed.
Designed by Benn+Penna the bottom floor now houses an art gallery, while the upper level serves as a flexible workspace. With a steel mesh railing that enhances openness, preserves sightlines, and amplifies the industrial aesthetic, it creates the ideal atmosphere for exhibitions and work life.
Upstairs, Marmoleum Walton flooring, renowned for its pure linoleum character, was chosen for its sustainable attributes. Notably, Marmoleum stands out as one of the most sustainable flooring options made from plant-based ingredients.
Its understated design colour palette perfectly aligns with Benn & Penna's mission:
'to create a calm, constrained, and considered spaces, utilising a minimal material palette and featuring modest, timeless designs for sustainable outcomes, exploring the power of one or two materials to craft original, functional spaces.'
