New Library at Bauhaus Dessau, interview with architect Reiner Becker:
We avoided to plan a library that is competing to the Bauhaus bulidings. The building has a reduced and reservced appearance. You enter the library through the former Kaufhalle (a supermarket). Inside we have the "Bücherbox" as a centerpiece of the whole building and only a small amount of carefully selected coloured items. The central colour item is the red Forbo linoleum.
