In a world where competition for the workforce has become tougher and the working environment can become a matchwinner, Avinode Group needed an office with a strong identity and a strong attraction element. The company is driven by its curiosity and is at the forefront with new technology and wanted this to be visible in the new premises. They experienced a difficulty in growing as a company in their old premises and that these with their design and atmosphere did not correspond to Avinode Group's wishes.
The choice of floor for the project fell on Forbo's linoleum floor "Marmoleum". A simple choice where Marmoleum met all of White's requirements for a floor. The floor had to be durable, robust and create a wow factor. The project had a strong sustainability focus where important aspects in the choice of Marmoleum were that the material does not contribute to increased climate change and that the large amount of colours and types afforded endless design possibilities.
With a focus on solutions and offers promoting a healthy life and a good work-life balance, we can achieve both playful and restful elements in the working environment. The brief contained a desire for a clear wow feeling and better conditions for working as they are as a company.
White's assignment included evaluating and reviewing the conditions for new premises, developing a comprehensive concept and design proposal, carrying out design and providing ongoing assistance during renovation, moving in and readying the new premises. White's team saw it as a major and fun challenge to create a new concept adapted to both existing furniture and to the proposed location. Almost 90% was recycled from the existing furniture.
Since the floor is made of natural raw materials, it also helps to provide a good atmosphere in the premises. The fact that Marmoleum is also environmentally swan-marked is another reason why the floor was chosen.
The new premises span approximately 940 sqm on the top three floors of the new skyscraper in Gamlestadstorget, with occupancy on 31 January 2020.
