Commissioning of the photovoltaic system at the Wallbach site

Wallbach, August 2024 - Major step towards CO2-neutral production

A new photovoltaic system has gone into operation at the Forbo Siegling Schweiz AG site in Wallbach, Switzerland. The system has an output of 174 kWp and covers an area of 780 square meters. The system is installed on the roof of the Siegling Extremultus production hall. With the new PV system, Forbo Movement Systems is taking a major step towards CO2-neutral production of Siegling Extremultus flat belts. With 391 solar modules, the system will achieve annual CO2 savings of 26.64 tons.

This photovoltaic system is a clear sign of Forbo Movement Systems' commitment to greater sustainability. It helps to reduce the company's CO2 footprint and make the production of Siegling Extremultus more climate-neutral. By using solar energy, Forbo is making an active contribution to reducing energy consumption from fossil sources. This is a further step towards a greener future for the company and the region. Forbo Movement Systems is thus demonstrating that business and environmental protection can go hand in hand.
