Hanover, February 2017 – Right Place, Right Time: Forbo Siegling Stand 1/E08 at interpack 2017 in Düsseldorf, Germany
Where packaging processes are concerned, food packaging has to be one of the most hygiene-critical. Both industry and consumers agree that hygiene and safety are paramount. Forbo Movement Systems works closely with OEMs and food producers to offer an in-depth range that meets both these demands. And it’s this kind of partnership that underpins all Movement Systems’ innovations. Close monitoring of market developments leads to new state-of-the-art products for a challenging industry.
As the premier trade show in the packaging industry, interpack 2017 is exactly the right place to present these product developments to a broad range of industry professionals. We’ll be showcasing the following highlights that prioritize hygiene, safety and cost-efficient operation:
Prosan™ belts
The new Prosan™ product range was developed for hygiene-critical applications in the food industry. Prosan™ are polyurethane belts coated on both sides with a new type of pattern on the underside. The belt’s advantage lies in its low friction coefficient towards the slider bed and the fact that it’s easy to clean. A patent is pending on this special pattern. Adding Smartseal belt edge sealing produces an efficient hygiene concept.
Belt edge protection: Frayfree and Smartseal
Due to the special structure of Frayfree belts, virtually no fluff forms on the edges. On the one hand Smartseal reliably prevents oil, grease, water and therefore bacteria from penetrating and on the other fluff from protruding from the edges of the belt. Both variants meet the stringent demands on hygiene in the food industry.
Elastic belts
These homogeneous, elastic polyurethane belts track superbly, offer good release characteristics, troughability and dimensional stability. They are ideal for a wide range of applications such as separation systems and check-weighers. New materials with enhanced chemical resistance to fat, oils and cleaning agents make these belts ideal components in many processes.
Prolink modular belts
Siegling Prolink plastic modular belts offer built-in hygiene thanks to fully closed surfaces and homogeneous materials. And of course they comply with EU, FDA and USDA regulations. Special HACCP types and easy-to-clean designs help minimize safety risks and ensure efficient production at the same time.
One product range – diverse designs – numerous applications. The new straight-tracking S6.1-21 FLT belt provides good drainage when cleaning products, or the new S5-39 FRT1 and S5-33 FRT2 modular belts and the S11-33 FRT2 type are top choices when excellent grip (especially in curved belt applications) is required. Whenever belt returns run over knife edges, series 13 modular belts guarantee reliable tracking. And for tough conveying jobs involving crates the series 8 straight-tracking belts are a superb option.
Grip Star™ flat belts
Siegling Extremultus Grip Star™ belts are a better alternative to rubber when good grip, exact positioning, fast acceleration or powerful braking are required. As folder gluer belts and machine tapes, the range fulfils exacting demands in a wide range of areas. Virtually all Grip Star™ belts comply with the (EC) regulations 1935/2004, (EU) 10/2011, as well as the FDA’s 21 CFR for conveying unpackaged foodstuff.
