In business since 1965, Hilliard's Chocolate Systems is one of the major suppliers of chocolate machinery equipment for the retail candy business.

Hilliards provides the finest in machinery for chocolate candy producers. Tempering melters of several capacities, hand coaters, complete coating systems, and cooling cabinets for the novice or experienced chocolate maker; to provide a complete range of capabilities.

Application

Siegling Transilon belting is used in a cooling tunnel conveyor for chocolate transport. Conveyorized coolers have a cooling chamber through which the conveyor belt carries the product for cooling.

The belt material must not curl. The belting must run straight, release product, and provide good thermal conductivity. In addition, the belting must be resistant to various oils, greases, nuts, and have good release properties.

Siegling Transilon E 2/1 U0/U2 white lays flat and does not curl. The polyester carcass is highly flexible longitudinally but laterally stiff so belt lays flat.

For the 10 & 16 Inch Chocolate Coating System, the belt specifications are as follows: Belt Widths: 10 & 16 inches (20 & 25 cm), Belt Speed: 1 to 8 ft/min (0.3 to 2.4 m/min) fixed or variable speed and Tunnel Lengths: 6 to 60 feet (1.8 to 18 meters).

Result

The Transilon belt provides long service life, low maintenance, and is energy efficient. Besides being laterally stiff the belt runs straight for good tracking properties.
