Application

The customer wanted a full solution for the production site in order to increase productivity. Tiong Lian considered automation while planning the new production facility and invested $7 million in installing automatic conveyor belt systems between the different floors and workstations, setting up overhead conveyors and a crate system to transport raw pork, and purchasing meat slicers with infrared sensors.

Our solution

By using Prolink series 11, 5 slicers were linked to 5 packaging machines including productivity tracking software and sensors. The crate system can automatically transport 2,000 crates of pork to different workstations every day. Our Prolink Series 5 was used for this purpose as well as for the stacker/unstacker.

The result

Automation and digitalisation have simplified the process, increased efficiency and improved the working environment. We managed to increase the customer’s overall productivity by 35% (due to lower production costs with greater production capacity). Using our Prolink plastic modular belts has minimized downtime.
