When designing the space in the Artek Tokyo store, Japanese architecture office Daikei Mills sought to achieve a cultural translation of Artek and Alvar Aalto heritage into the Tokyo landscape. The organic shapes and natural materials that characterize Aalto’s designs are reflected in the interior architecture. That is why the architects chose Marmoleum flooring, which is made of natural raw materials.
