Roermond residential streets come to life on digitally printed vinyl
Residential care complex "Aan de Breijewaeg" is furnished on the basis of the 'empathic living' concept. The complex is aimed at residents who are forward-looking, vital and willing to lend each other a hand.
Instead of a dark hallway and corridors, each floor is equipped with a digitally printed vinyl floor. An indistinguishable residential street with several squares, complete with benches, street lamps and greenery.
Each floor has its own atmosphere and interpretation with specific activities, such as a cinema, exercise bikes on a "bike pad floor" and market stalls on the wall. This way informal meetings and exercise are stimulated.
Vinyl was deliberately chosen because of its design possibilities, its resistance to wear and tear as well as its ease of maintenance. In addition, to protect the floor, a large Coral clean walking area was chosen in both the hall and the stairwells.
