In Museum Van Bommel Van Dam, you will experience the power of modern and contemporary art in all kinds of ways. The museum of the Venlo region organizes exhibitions, inspiring activities, meetings and guided tours. Both inside and outside the museum walls, collaborations with artists, companies and government institutions are organized.
As part of the renovation of the Van Bommel Van Dam Museum, Forbo Flooring Systems created a special floor at the entrance hall of the building. The design is a memento of the building's former role as national post office, with a pattern of triangles suggesting sealed envelopes. The floor design is made of ten different colours of Marmoleum Piano and completely cut with Forbo's aquajet technique. The design is inspired by the work of graphic artist Michiel van Nieuwland, who frequently uses arabesque motifs in his work. The artist's linocut impression of the floor also hangs as monumental wall decoration in the hall of the museum auditorium.
