Keeping up with building and design trends
To make sure that our customers’ projects have the most up-to-date flooring designs, we need to be aware of new trends and changing attitudes in society and understand how they affect the built environment.
Based on research from our international Forbo Flooring Design Team a biannual in-house trend report is developed. Since 2015 we identify trends that are relevant for Forbo Flooring and that provide us with a clear vision of future market needs.This report is a valuable source of inspiration and help us to develop contemporary and inspiring collections and stories.

The theme for this year: "Beyond the Surface"
Beneath the surface, design reveals a vibrant narrative of depth, detail, and nuance—raw yet refined.
This report explores the uniqueness of materials shaped by their natural origins, celebrating their inherent character rather than imitating nature. Each design provokes thought and sparks connection, transforming spaces into meaningful constellations that protect, inspire, and unfold human stories. Beyond aesthetics, these creations invite awareness, offering surfaces that carry history, culture, and purpose.
