Buro Belén about their pinboard

According to Belén, there is ‘no such thing as waste’. The design studio believes in cycles and strives to make them toxic free. This principle was the basis for a recent development of a textile wallcovering made with waste streams and natural pigments. For the pinboard Founders Brecht Duijf and Lenneke Langenhuijsen selected a series of materials with different structures, sharing part of their research into how our perception of colour is strongly influenced by surface texture and a change of light throughout the day.
