“I wanted a flooring company that emanated the dynamics of youth culture, but that also appealed to adult clientele. Forbo produces quality flooring that oozes class – whether you’re young or old.” Together, the floors at the Younithy store showcase the possibilities available: at the entrance, there is a Coral barrier mat to keep the space free from moisture and dirt.
Then, vertical strips of Allura Flex with a wood and concrete look are laid in an irregular pattern. To the back, the hangout zone has been given a comfortable floor of Flotex textile tiles. The mini-football pitch beside it features durable, hardwearing Eternal with a digital print. The colour blocking, shapes and patterns were chosen by the Younithy entrepreneurs themselves. “So the interior is quite bold”, jokes Casper. “The colour combinations may be a little random, but young people are non-conformist after all. At the end of the day, our clientele feels completely at home here.”
