Looking back at 2022 with Forbo
2022 has been an exciting year here at Forbo Flooring Systems.

At the beginning of the year, we set out to continue all the achievements we'd made in 2021, introducing new ranges, forming new partnerships and continuing our popular Forbo escapes (previously Fly Forbo) competition. Here, we take a look back at some of our key moments from the last 12 months.
A fresh start to the year
With a lot of employees returning to the office, post-Covid refurbishments were beginning to rise in popularity. In response to this, we started the year strong by refreshing our Tessera carpet tile range with the Tessera Teviot palette. Later in the year, we also introduced Tessera Struktur 2 to complement our Struktur 1 range followed by Tessera Infused. The new additions offer architects, specifiers and flooring contractors with plenty of options for hardwearing, yet comfortable and stylish carpet tiles- all at an affordable price!
What's more,
We also continued to push the boundaries of design with our "Created by" collection, with design legends such as José Medina Galeote and Mac Stopa creating some stunning floor designs using the digital printing capabilities of our Flotex flocked flooring.

Fast Flooring In the Spotlight
Some projects need floor coverings that can be installed quickly, easily and with minimal disruption, which is where our Fast Flooring portfolio comes into play! Suitable for use across a range of sectors, from healthcare, to retail, our Fast Flooring solutions have been used in a variety of projects this year. Among these fantastic projects was Edinburgh Gin's new flagship store, which saw the installation of our adhesive free Modul'up range in the beautiful Coral Terrazzo colourway. The installation was so striking that it won "Commended" in our Forbo Escapes competition.
Modul'up was also installed in North Tees Hospital and in the state-of-the-art Children's Hospital in Leeds, where minimal disruption was vital! Our Fast Flooring portfolio was expanded too, with our Health and Safety Executive (HSE) complaint safety flooring range: Surestep Fast Fit. Our new adhesive free range has been designed for demanding commercial environments, where a quick turnaround and minimal disruption is required, but where slip resistance is also a priority.

New Partnerships
In response to the increased demand for adhesive free floor coverings, we partnered with IOBAC and approved its MagTabs as an adhesive free method of installing our Allura and Tessera floor coverings. Together we have been highlighting the crucial role that adhesive-free flooring has to play in the interiors sector.
IOBAC’s MagTabs perfectly complement our Fast Flooring portfolio, enabling floor coverings to be installed quickly, as well as being easy to remove with no residue or contamination. Magnetic on one side and dry-tack adhesive on the other, the innovative, award-winning MagTabs can be used to install a wide variety of floor coverings adhesive-free to metal raised access floors and IOBAC’s magnetically receptive range of underlays and resins.
This is great for our environmental pledge as the MagTabs make flooring reusable, which reduces waste.

The Road To Sustainability
With sustainability in mind, throughout May we hit the road with our mobile Marmoleum Showroom, as part of our Road to Sustainability Tour. The aim of this was to raise awareness of Marmoleum, our main brand of Linoleum, and it's sustainability credentials. It was a great tour and we got to meet loads of new and existing customers. Thanks to those that popped down to see us in the cities we visited!

Putting Forbo On The Map
Born out of a shared passion to create a space for designers to discover new products, materials and fuel discussion, Material Source in Manchester opened its doors at the beginning of this year. We are absolutely delighted to be featured in the showroom, with our partner pod showcasing our extremely popular and sustainable Marmoleum range.
