The Midlands based Energy Systems Catapult, decided to practice what it preaches when specifying the flooring in its new office facility in Birmingham City Centre. Opting for Forbo Flooring Systems’ Marmoleum Modular Lines due to its excellent green credentials and high-end aesthetics, the office subsequently went on to win the BCO 2017 regional award in the Fit Out of Workspace category [1].
The mission for the Energy Systems Catapult is to bring the worlds of industry, academia and Government together in service of building consensus on the transition pathways to a future energy system and to accelerate the development of new technology-based products and services in the energy sector. The Catapult wanted to reduce its carbon footprint during the move to new offices, to reflect the company’s objective to reduce its overall energy consumption – one of the key reasons for specifying Forbo’s Marmoleum floor covering.
