Our Forbo Flooring Systems tagline - creating better environments - expresses our awareness, commitment and efforts towards sustainability. For our Modul'up floors, we have taken concrete steps to be as durable as possible.

Durable production
• Controlled supply chain certification – ISO 14001 and 9001 standards and SA8000 for ethical supply chain.
• Modul'up production is dedicated to the concept of zero waste. 100% of production waste is reused within Forbo Flooring.
• Maximized use of recycled content in all products, Modul'up contains up to 20% recycled content and actual content is published in our EPD.
• Back to the floor – returned floors can be recycled to close the material loop.
• Loose lay Modul'up floors are easy to install and remove, enabling a smooth recycling process.
• Modul'up can be reused in its entirety, making it 100% suitable for circular use.
• Modul'up is produced in an environment where substantial reductions of CO₂ have been achieved and where additional improvements are planned.

Forbo uses Life Cycle Assessments to identify and continuously improve the environmental performance of our floors. Our independently verified Environmental Product Declarations provide a framework for measuring a building’s environmental footprint and give you the information you need to make a sustainable decision.

The best compact loose laid floor

Installation over existing floors is possible in many cases, but also on new, not fully dried concrete floors there is no risk since no adhesive is used. Modul'up Compact is designed for high-traffic areas, offering enhanced durability and resilience when needed most. The performance of the floor is further enhanced by the XtremPUR™ lacquer that ensures that the more than 80 different colour and design options in the collection will continue to look great for years.

Matching welding rods have been developed for all Modul'up items.

Modul'up floor coverings are easy to clean and maintain, thanks to the XtremPUR^TM surface protection with double (laser + UV) curing technology.

• Stain resistant: offers the best possible resistance to staining. For example, ideal for healthcare facilities, where spilled chemicals may cause stains.
• Easy to clean: creates a 3D surface protection that acts as a true shield against soiling. Needs no wax or polish, anti-bacterial and perfectly hygienic.
• Long-lasting performance: offers durable resistance against scuffs and scratches, even in high traffic areas.
• Matt surface: improves the realism of the visual of the floor with a less glossy appearance.
