Hanover, January 2018 – Forbo Movement Systems presents its new air-cooled Siegling Blizzard HC 120/40.
The HC 120/40 offers ease of use and very short cycles, setting new standards in terms of speed when splicing belts up to widths of 40 mm. Until now, two devices (heating and cooling clamps) were usually required, but Blizzard ingeniously includes both. And the whole process runs automatically. Once the custom-adjustable hold-down time has expired, the device’s control system triggers the cooling process. Six integrated fans cool down the belt’s splice quickly and reliably.
This ergonomically designed piece of equipment is ideal for constant operation or producing large numbers of splices and is ready to use the moment it’s connected to the mains. After entering the hold-down time, as well as heating and cooling temperatures, the set programme starts as often as desired at the touch of a button.
The advantages at a glance:
- automatic heating and cooling in one single device
- intuitive usage
- mistakes are prevented during handling
- no need to put belts and splicing guide into a cooling clamp after heating
- high levels of efficiency due to short cycles
- excellent splicing results with superior repeat accuracy delivered
It is also supplied with a padded case. The self-locking splicing guides can be ordered in any width of approx. 10 to 40 mm (can use any available Forbo Siegling standard splice guide too). The splicing guides keep the ends of the belts in place, ensure splices are properly aligned and prevent material from shifting. The Siegling Blizzard HC 120/40 heating clamp is also available as a set with a compact hand-held punch to prepare the ends of the splice.
