The Marburg Pharma Factory is a research and development centre in the field of biotechnology. The building was completed in mid-2022 and focuses on the working methods of the future: open co-working spaces create an inspiring working environment that brings people together and promotes new ideas.
The factory is built in accordance with strict sustainability criteria and meets the highest German energy standards. Using innovative technologies such as ice storage and heat pumps, the aim is achieving a CO2-neutral energy supply. The integration of environmental aspects and the broad product range led the planners directly to the sustainably produced floor coverings from Forbo Flooring:
- Entrance area, atrium and corridors were given a homogeneous and spacious look with Sphera vinyl flooring - produced with 100% renewable energy and in virtually waste-free production. The matching trenovo staircase system with anti-slip safety edge rounds off the areas.
- In cafeterias and open-space offices, an Allura lvt floor in wood design has been installed.
- Especially for laboratories: the high-tech Colorex vinyl floor in tile format meets the requirements for electrostatically dissipative floor coverings.
- The slip-resistant Step vinyl flooring with glitter particles also brings safety at work and design under one roof in the kitchen area.
