Nothing’s impossible for us: Customized fabrication

Customizing your belts

However challenging the production process for belts is – we’ll find a solution. Alongside our broad range of existing customized fabrication options, we’re always prepared to come up with new ones.

Various types of perforation possible

A range of perforations

A water jet cutter can perforate fabric-based conveyor belts with the tiniest of perforation diameters as of 0.8 mm in any belt width up to 3,900 mm. This precision is a huge benefit in applications like digital printing, where an exact fit and consistent perforation patterns are crucial. Depending on specifications, our machine can also create any other shape with superior precision.

Belt edge trimming of endless, wide belts

Straight tracking is often a challenge, particularly with very wide belts. Our state-of-the-art trimmer can cut wide endless belts and guarantee that they track perfectly straight. To ensure that the conveyor belts are cut to the exact dimensions, the special trimmer is very precise. The belt edges are cut cleanly and smoothly, which significantly improves the efficiency and service life of your conveyor belts.

Folded-edge belt with flights

Folded-edge belt with flights

We can add flights to belt edges so that the inside edges taper. These beveled profiles adapt perfectly to the belt when troughed. As a result, the folded-edge belt effectively prevents products slipping from or falling off at the sides. This makes folded-edge belts with flights ideal for inclined conveying. In one application, deep-frozen pizzas are conveyed downward on an inclined conveyor.

Milled grooves in curved belts

Sometimes it’s not possible to apply profiles for technical reasons. In this case, we mill grooves in the curved belts’ top face coating. Instead of welded-on longitudinal profiles, they are used to guide the product. In one application, baked goods that were already on the production line had to change direction via a curved belt. Due to the tight radii and distances, welding on flat or wedge profiles wasn’t possible for technical reasons. The solution was to mill a track on the top face coating.

Conveyor belts with milled pockets on the profile base are ideal for metered and portioned conveying of products whose feed is controlled via an actuator. These belts are hermetically sealed and perfect for the food sector, especially in combination with Smartseal. Smartseal stops the belt from fraying and extends its service life by preventing contamination and wear. The design means there is no negative impact on the minimum drum diameter, which enables precise control of the feed via actuators.

Belts with customized longitudinal profiles

On request, special longitudinal profiles can be added to the underside or top face of conveyor and processing belts. These profiles can be made to order, or you can provide them. For instance: A customer used our belts to convey roof tiles. He thought the standard profiles were too flat, too hard and their service lives too short. A special longitudinal rubber profile met his requirements perfectly in terms of dimensions, service life and hardness of the material.

Vacuum belt with milled grooves

Vacuum belt with milled grooves

In the case of vacuum belts, it’s crucial that products are kept securely in position on the belt. Which is why we drill customized perforation and duct patterns on our vacuum belts that are geared to the products conveyed. They ensure optimum air flow in vacuum belts used in sheet metal processing and therefore reliable conveying and discharge of the sheet metal. The perforation pattern and the air ducts milled onto the top face coating are tailored to this application. Configurations for curved belts are also possible.

Open loop profile

We offer customized solutions to match customers’ requirements. For instance, belts with open loop profiles are ideal for mechanical harvesting of apples. During harvesting, apples fall onto these belts without incurring any bruising or other damage. These types of tailor-made solutions allow us to guarantee superb functionality and efficiency.

Fabrication of roll-up doors

Roll-up curtains made of polyvinyl chloride are a reliable and high-quality solution for large aisles in industrial and retail facilities. For safety reasons, big windows in roll-up doors are a must. Our high-frequency welding tool, custom-designed for this application, minimizes cloudy areas on the windows, enables a better view and therefore enhanced safety in production facilities.
