Metalworking is encountered in diverse areas of industry and manual trades. Metalworking is required in jewelry production, tool and mould construction, to vehicle manufacture, mechanical engineering, ship- and bridge building. The demands made on the conveyors and therefore the conveyor and processing belts are very high.
For example in the most diverse of industries, different cutting and molding systems enable flexible and efficient manufacture of top-quality metal parts in consistently large quantities, complex component shapes and processing of very strong materials. In the majority of cases, press out-feed belts are used to convey the molded pieces of metal away from the pressing line.
Robots or feeders are used to transfer products from the press to the belts. Components can be discharged from the out-feed belts manually or automatically.
The requirements in many areas of metalworking are just as varied as the belt solutions themselves are. Forbo’s range of fabric-based conveyor and processing belts, as well as plastic modular belts, offers the right belt for each application.
